Shortly after I wrote my last post about viral videos: luck or skill, I heard about a new strategy coming from the YouTube powers that be. Evidently, they have developed a plan to share advertising revenue that is generated from viral videos with the owners of those videos.
YouTube will be monitoring hits and buzz around the videos uploaded by their users and when they see a video trending toward viral, they will contact the owner to see if they are open to letting advertising be sold on their video page.
