Looking for something to do this Saturday night in Lubbock? Come on out to Lone Cowboy – Concert for Heroes featuring Michael Martin Murphy at 7:30 at the Cactus Theater. Not only will there be great music, but you’ll be supporting two local heroes.

The event will raise money to cover medical expenses for Spc. Reas Axtell and Tanner Cook, both of Idalou.  Axtell lost both legs during a rocket attack in Iraq in August 2007.

Cook was a senior football player at Idalou High School when he was injured during a playoff game last season.  Cook initially suffered a minor head injury, but his condition deteriorated after suffering three subsequent strokes.

Tori Vasquez will open for Michael Martin Murphy. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are on sale for $35 and $50 by calling the Cactus Theater at 806-762-3233.
